A unique experience: how you can make your stage debut in the Muriel’s Wedding musical

Audience members from certain seats are invited to join the wedding at the Leicester Curve

Stuck in a dead-end life in Porpoise Spit, Muriel dreams of the perfect wedding – the white dress, the church, the attention. 

Unfortunately, there’s one thing missing: a groom. Following her dreams to Sydney, Muriel ends up with everything she ever wanted – a man, a fortune and a million social media followers. 

That’s when things start to go really wrong. 

But not for the audience members who are sitting on the wedding seats. Following a short pre-show briefing, as a Wedding Guest audience members will enjoy the show from a seat in the theatre. Just before the wedding scene, these guests will be invited on stage by the production team to take a seat as a guest on stage. 

Leading the cast Megan Ellis as Muriel Heslop joined by Annabel Marlow as Rhonda Epinstall, Darren Day as Bill Heslop, Laura Medforth as Betty Heslop, Bronte Alice-Tadman as Deidre & Frida, Jamie Doncaster as Bjorn, Chris Bennet as Ken, Jasmine Hackett as Agnetha, Jacob Warner as Perry Heslop, Joseph Peacock as Malcolm Heslop, Lena Pattie Jones as Joanie Heslop, Helen Hill as Tania Degano, Jasmine Beel as Nicole, Daisy Twells as Janine, Lillie-Pearl Wildman as Cheryl, Aaron Tsindos as Benny, Ethan Pascal Peters as Brice Nobes, Stephen Madsen as Alexander, Andrew Berlin as Driscoll, Carlo Boumouglbay as Pascal, Sophie Linder Lee as Berris, Charlotte O’Rourke as Karen, Edward Turner as Stove and the swings Jamil Abbasi, Lizzie Nance, Serina Mathew and Will Luckett, who also the dance captain. 

The musical is Based on the original motion picture by PJ Hogan, book by PJ Hogan, music & lyrics Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall with additional songs by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson originally written for ABBA 

The show is directed by Simon Phillips, choreographer Andrew Hallsworth, music supervisor, orchestrations, arrangements & additional music by Isaac Hayward, set designer Matt Kinley, sostume designer Gabriela Tylesova, video design and creation Andrzej Goulding, lighting designer Natasha Chivers, sound designer Adam Fisher, casting Stuart Burt, CDG CDA, associate director & dhoreographer Ellen Simpson, associate set designer David Harris, associate costume designer Philip Engleheart, associate lighting designer Hector Murray, associate sound designer Harry Barker, production manager Patrick Molony, costumer supervisor Edd Lindley and lighting programmer Laura Howells.
