Andrew Lloyd Webber teased the return of The Phantom of the Opera to New York

The Phantom of the Opera left the Broadway after 35 years

Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic closed in 2023 after 35 years. Since then, rumours surfaced time to time with the news, that the Opera Ghost is ready to return. According to these rumours, this will be a brand-new show, with a reimagined immersive production, modeled on Sleep No More.

In the video, which was posted on Instagram, Andrew Lloyd Webber is standing in front of 218 W. 57th St., a building located not far from Carnegie Hall that used to be the home of Lee's Art Shop. On the windows of the building are vintage-style broadsheets about the Paris Opera House. As the Opera Ghost's arrival is getting closer, a new website, called Masquerade has been launched.

The signs are there, and Andrew Lloyd Webber received the message of the Opera Ghost that he is back on the video below:
