Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga in Stephen Sondheims`s Old Friends
The show will play in Gielgud Theatre from 16th September for a 16-week limited season.
A 16-week run of the memorial concert dedicated to the work of Stephen Sondheim, performed by many of his old friends was announced by Cameron Mackintosh.
Stars from the original concert will appear in the show as legendary Bernadette Peters, Christine Allado (Hamilton, The Prince of Egypt), Janie Dee (Carousel, Follies), Bonnie Langford (42nd Street, 9 to 5) and Jeremy Secomb (Sweeney Todd, Les Misérables).
Lea Salonga, another musical stage legend will join the show along with Beatrice Penny-Touré (The Phantom of the Opera, Winner of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholarship), Joanna Riding (Carousel, Follies) and Jac Yarrow (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat).
Further names will be announced later.
