Musical of Marylin Monroe’s last night

goodbye, norma jeane - a musical about Marylin Monroe's last night will premiere on 4 March in Hildesheim, Germany

Marilyn Monroe is still considered a sex symbol, also she was a style icon, model, singer and actress. Marilyn was said to have had an affair with J. F. Kennedy. The musical revolves around her turbulent life and tries to find out which stories about her infamous death at only 36 correspond to reality. Reporter Henri Mortenson attempts to find the truth. He rings the doorbell and a woman calling herself Jeane Edwards opens the door. However, Mortenson knows better: Mrs Edwards is none other than the famous Marilyn Monroe, whose real name is Norma Jeane Baker, who died for the public 22 years earlier. Worried that her hitherto well-kept secret about her existence could be exposed, Marilyn accepts the reporter's offer to know what happened shortly before her so-called death ...

Movies like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes or Some Like it Hot have made Marilyn Monroe a legend. The musical shows deep insights into the life of a star, accompanied by catchy music that expresses Marilyn's great moments, her vulnerability, her momentum and verve in a sometimes lively, sometimes emotional way. Goodbye, norma jeane premiered in Belgium in 2017, and the German-language premiere will now take place on 4th March in Hildesheim.
