Lewis Carroll: The Musical is coming to The Other Palace

The musical will play from 2nd July to 4th July
Step through the looking-glass and into the extraordinary world of Lewis Carroll…or is it, Charles Dodgson?
In this brand-new musical, from the creatives behind Wallis, the beloved nonsense of the Alice books collides with the curious life of the man who created them. Charles Dodgson is the shy Oxford mathematician behind Lewis Carroll and whose imagination gave us Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
For generations, people have debated the story behind the real Alice and the mathematician who immortalised her. Drawing on Carroll’s poems, diaries, letters, and fantastical tales we tumble down a rabbit hole of imagination and mystery. Along the way, familiar characters appear, and the boundary between fantasy and reality begins to blur.
Blending songs, humour, and the deliciously odd logic of Carroll’s world, the show follows the thread from the beloved stories back to the life that inspired them.
So, polish your dancing shoes, mind the Jabberwocky… and Will you Join the Dance?
The musical has a book and lyrics by Jane Bramwell, music by Michael Brand, directed by David Kettle, musical director Richard Lewis. Cast is yet to be announced.
lease note: This is a workshop sharing of the show, which is currently in development.
