Barbie musical teased by Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwing

The stars and director of Barbie, The Movie are thinking of the idea of the show becoming a stage musical.

Barbie The Movie was a mega success, earning almost $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office following its release last summer. Also won AFI Movies of the Year, the Gotham Independent Film Tribute Award and Glove for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

But the story will not end here, the future looks bright, as Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwing teased the musical version. Margot Robbie said, "this is not the first time we’ve thought of it, yeah, " adding, "It’s so fun when you can turn everything into a big, crazy musical number. Everything is infinitely more fun.”

Director Greta Gerwig added “I really love musicals. I mean, nothing would make me happier. So, I would love a musical.”

The movie`s soundtrack can be a good starting point with several successful songs, such as What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and Pink by Lizzo.
