Beaches makes emotional Broadway debut at the Majestic Theatre

A beloved story of friendship arrives on Broadway as Beaches: A New Musical begins previews at the Majestic Theatre on 27 March 2026, bringing star power, nostalgia, and a refreshed creative vision to the stage.

Beaches: A New Musical officially launches its Broadway journey with its first preview at the Majestic Theatre on 27 March 2026, marking a significant milestone for the long-gestating adaptation of Iris Rainer Dart’s celebrated novel. The production revisits the enduring story of friendship between Cee Cee Bloom and Bertie White, tracing their lives from childhood through adulthood with emotional depth and musical richness.

Leading the cast are Jessica Vosk as the ambitious performer Cee Cee Bloom and Kelli Barrett as the reserved yet resilient Bertie White. They are joined by Samantha Schwartz and Zeya Grace as the younger versions of the central characters, alongside Ben Jacoby and Brent Thiessen in supporting roles. Additional company members include Sarah Bockel, Harper Burns, and a full ensemble bringing the narrative to life.

The musical features a book by Iris Rainer Dart and Thom Thomas, with music by Mike Stoller and lyrics by Dart. Direction is helmed by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart, supported by a creative team including scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Tracy Christensen, and lighting designer Ken Billington.

Following earlier regional productions, this Broadway premiere represents a reimagined staging, blending classic storytelling with a contemporary score as Beaches aims to resonate with a new generation of theatre audiences.
