Billy Elliot Musical Announces 2025 Casting Call for the upcoming revival

The producers of the original production of Billy Elliot the Musical have announced a search for the title role of the successful musical.

The producers of the internationally acclaimed Billy Elliot the Musical have officially announced their 2025 casting call, sparking excitement among young performers across the country. Known for launching the careers of many talented actors, the production is once again seeking a new generation of stars to bring the beloved story to life on stage.

The 2025 casting search focuses primarily on boys aged 10–14 to play the iconic lead role of Billy—an exceptionally demanding part requiring strong acting talent, advanced dance ability, and a powerful singing voice. Casting directors note that while technical skill is important, they are equally interested in performers who can convey Billy’s emotional depth and resilience. The role of Michael, Billy’s charismatic best friend, is also open to boys in a similar age range with strong comedic timing and confidence. Applications can be made via billy@jessicaronane.com.
