Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club Announces Starry Autumn 2026 Casting

Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland will make their West End debuts as the Emcee and Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club from September 2026.

The West End’s Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club is preparing to welcome a major new cast this autumn, with American stars Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland set to make their West End debuts.

The pair will take over the iconic roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles respectively from 21 September 2026, following the current run led by Jamie Muscato and Joy Woods. Astin will perform as the Emcee until 12 December 2026, while Hyland will continue as Sally Bowles until 23 January 2027.

Astin is best known for his roles in Pitch Perfect and Spring Awakening, as well as television appearances including Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. Hyland rose to international fame as Haley Dunphy in the hit sitcom Modern Family and has also appeared in a number of stage and screen projects.

The autumn company will also feature Ronan Burns as Ernst Ludwig and Lindsay Atherton as Fräulein Kost/Fritzie, alongside a number of new company members.

Several current cast members will remain at the Kit Kat Club, including Baker Mukasa as Clifford Bradshaw, Ruthie Henshall as Fräulein Schneider and Robert Hands as Herr Schultz.

The acclaimed production, directed by Rebecca Frecknall, has recently passed 1,900 performances, making it the longest-running production of Cabaret in West End history. The musical is also celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026.

With the production currently booking through 18 September 2027, the arrival of Astin and Hyland promises another exciting chapter for the Kit Kat Club.
