Cats – 40 years on stage in Budapest!

In 2023 the Cats will celebrate an astonishing 40 years on stage in Hungary!

The non-replica version was directed by Tamás Szirtes and choreographed by László Seregi shortly after the London premiere. As a special celebration of the anniversary, Tamás Szirtes announced a special midday matinee performance on 25 March 2023.

Cats is a musical based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats which tells the story of a bunch of larger-than-life cat characters as Mr Mistoffelees, Rum Tum Tugger, Macavity and so on at the night of the Jellicle Ball. The musical quickly became one of all time most loved musicals of the Hungarian audience. The 40^th anniversary will be a special celebration with special guests.
