Dolly Parton musical Here You Come Again has its UK premiere
The musical will premiere at the Leeds Playhouse on 11th May
This rollicking show tells the story of a diehard fan whose imaginary version of Dolly gets him through a trying time. With her wit, humour and trademark charm, she teaches him a whole lot about life, love and how to pull yourself up by your bootstraps… even if your bootstraps don’t have rhinestones!
Packed with hits like ‘Jolene’, ‘9 to 5’, ‘Islands in the Stream’ and more, this is one musical that is sure to make you smile!
Originally written by two-time Emmy award-winning comedy and songwriter Bruce Vilanch with Gabriel Barre (who also directs) and Tricia Paoluccio (who also plays Dolly), and has now been adapted for the UK by acclaimed British playwright Jonathan Harvey (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Coronation Street).
Co-produced by Leeds Playhouse and Simon Friend Entertainment co-production.
According to the plans after the run at Leeds Playhouse, the show will move to the West End.
