Frozen premieres in Hungary in September 2025

The musical will run at Madách Theatre probably with non-replica staging

Frozen is a Broadway adaptation of Disney's 2013 animated film, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's 1844 fairy tale The Snow Queen. The musical premiered on Broadway in March 2018 and quickly became a major success. It features many of the original songs from the film, including the iconic Let It Go, composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and new songs written specifically for the stage production.

The story revolves around the two royal sisters, Elsa and Anna, who are separated by Elsa's magical ability to create ice and snow. After Elsa unintentionally plunges their kingdom into eternal winter, Anna embarks on a journey to find her sister and restore summer. Along the way, she meets the ice seller Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and the lovable snowman Olaf.

The musical adaptation expands the narrative with deeper character development, new numbers, and more elaborate staging. It explores themes of love, self-acceptance, and family.

Frozen will premiere at Madách Theatre, one of Hungary's leading musical theatres, directed by Tamás Szirtes.

Further details are yet to be announced.
