Full cast announced for Disney`s Winnie The Pooh Musical UK Tour

Disney`s Winnie The Pooh Musical will play at London`s Riverside Studios from 17 March to 21 May and start the tour in Southampton on 31 May

The full cast has been announced for the upcoming performances. The new musical stage adaptation was created by Jonathan Rockefeller. The show features many of the original songs written by Robert and Richard Sherman, including 'Winnie the Pooh', 'The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers' and 'A Rather Blustery Day'. A few short samples of Pooh's 'hums' (songs Pooh makes up himself originally written by author A.A. Milne), also appear in various ways throughout the show.

There will be a new storyline from the Hundred Acre Wood, which is told with life-size puppetry. All the puppets featured in the show were designed and constructed within the walls of Rockefeller Productions by a talented team of artists, designers, patternmakers, builders, welders and fabricators.

Jake Bazel, who originated the role of Winnie the Pooh for the Off-Broadway production, will play the role in London shared with Young Frankenstein's Benjamin Durham. Benjamin Durham will take on the title role for the UK tour. Laura Bacon (Britain’s Got Talent, Star Wars), Harry Boyd (The Play That Goes Wrong, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), Alex Cardall (Evita, The Osmonds: A New Musical), Chloe Gentles (Mamma Mia!, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Lottie Grogan (Smurfs Save Spring: The Musical, The Lips for Puppets with Guys) and Robbie Noonan (Avenue Q UK Tour, Jack and the Beanstalk) will populate Hundred Acre Wood as Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo.
