Full cast announced for the Cruel Intentions musical

The musical will premiere at The Other Palace on 11 January

Cruel Intentions is based on the famous 1999 movie by Roger Kumble, inspired by the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Step-siblings Sebastian Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil, manipulative monsters flushed with their own sexual prowess, engage in a cruel bet: Kathryn goads Sebastian into attempting to seduce Annette Hargrove, the headmaster’s virtuous daughter.

Weaving a web of secrets and temptation, as the two set out to destroy an innocent girl — and anyone who gets in their way — their vengeful crusade wreaks havoc on the students at their exclusive Manhattan high school and the diabolical duo become entangled in their own web of deception and unexpected romance, with explosive results…

Cast members are Josh Barnett as Blaine Tuttle/Court Reynolds, Daniel Bravo as Sebastian Valmont, Jess Buckby as Mrs Bunny Caldwell/Dr Greenbaum, Abbie Budden as Annette Hargrove, Rose Galbraith as Cecile Caldwell/Marci Greenbaum, Nickcolia King-N’Da as Ronald Clifford, Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky as Kathryn Merteuil and Barney Wilkinson as Greg. Further cast members are Craig Watson, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Charlotte O’Rourke and Verity Thompson.

The musical contains the most iconic pop songs of the `90s from Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Boyz II Men, TLC, Natalie Imbruglia, The Verve, *NSYNC, Ace of Base, and R.E.M. and others.

The show is irected by Jonathan O’Boyle, choreography and associate direction by Gary Lloyd, musical director Denise Crowley, set and costume designer Polly Sullivan, lighting designer Nick Richings, sound designer Chris Whybrow, associate choreographer Matt Nicholson, costume supervisor Hugo Aguirre, casting by Will Burton.
