Hadestown new West End cast has been announced

The new cast starts on 11 March

Hadestown is an unforgettable journey through the Greek underworld and back. The storyline loosely adapts the Greek myth of tragic lovers Orpheus and Eurydice as well as the gods Hades and his wife Persephone.

From 11 March 2025, Desmonda Cathabel will play Eurydice, and Dylan Wood will return as Orpheus. They will be joined by Victoria Hamilton-Barrit as Persephone, Chris Jarman as Hades, and Cedric Neal as Hermes. 

Melanie Bright and Lauran Rae join Allie Daniel in the trio of the Fates. The Workers will be played by Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham, Laura Delany and Sebastian Lim-Seet, with Lucinda Buckley, Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda and Jasmine Triadi as swings.

Hadestown is based on Anaïs Mitchell’s concept album, book, lyrics and music by Anaïs Mitchell as well. The musical was directed by Rachel Chavkin, designed by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Michael Krass, lighting design by Bradley King, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz, choreography by David Neumann, musical direction and vocal arrangements by Liam Robinson, orchestrations and arrangements by Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose, with Ken Cerniglia as dramaturg.
