Here & Now – The Steps Musical tour cast has been announced

UK pop band Steps are delighted to announce that their official musical HERE & NOW, which has been wowing audiences in Birmingham for the last few weeks, will embark on a major UK and Ireland tour from August 2025 through to May 2026.

HERE & NOW began previews at The Alexandra, Birmingham on Saturday 9 November and finished it’s run on Saturday 30 November 2024. The musical was The Alexandra’s fastest selling on-sale in history, which saw 50% capacity sold within 24 hours.

Directed by the award-winning Rachel Kavanaugh (Half a Sixpence, The Great British Bake Off Musical) and written by Shaun Kitchener (Hollyoaks), HERE & NOW features many of their iconic hits, including ‘5, 6, 7, 8'‘Stomp', ‘Better Best Forgotten',  and ‘Last Thing On My Mind'

This brand new musical is produced by Steps themselves, ROYO and pop legend Pete Waterman.

Steps said, “We’ve been lucky to do many things together as a band, but the question we get asked again and again is ‘where is the Steps musical?’ Well…it’s finally here and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve searched for the perfect story for our music and we’ve found it in the aisle of a seaside superstore, where four friends set out on their own Summer of Love. It’s a story of friendship, romance and community; packed with our biggest hits and sure to have everybody laughing, crying and dancing in the aisles.”

Welcome to seaside superstore Better Best Bargains, where it's Friday night, the vibe is right, and everyone's dancing in the aisles. But when Caz discovers the shelves are stocked with lies and betrayal, the summer of love she and her friends dreamed of suddenly feels like a tragedy.

As it was confirmed earlier Rebecca Lock as Caz, Finty Williams as Patricia, Blake Patrick Anderson as Robbie, River Medway as Jem, Edward Baker Duly as Max, and John Stacey as Lesley will return to their roles joined by Jacqui Dubois as Vel, Chris Grahamson as Gareth, Rosie Singha as Neeta, Ben Darcy as Ben and Lauren Woolf as Tracey.

The cast of Here & Now is completed by Georgia Christofi (professional debut), Kade Ferraiolo (I Should Be So Lucky), Albert Green (The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole), Harry Jack (Les Misérables), Casey Jay (Grease), Charlie-Jay Johnson (Here and Now), Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah (Mamma Mia! The Party), Dean Rickards (professional debut), Markus Södergren (Here and Now), Genevieve Taylor (Wicked) and Jessica Vaux (Starlight Express).
