It is another Phantom – a 10 year anniversary in Seoul
The musical is running at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater in Seoul until 11th August
We all know the story well, as it is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. But this is a different story with different music, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary at Seoul.
At the Paris Opera House in the late 19th century, Eric, the genius with extraordinary talent, hides like a ghost in the basement of the opera house due to his hideous face. He hears Christine Daaé to sing and her voice changes his life forever. He decides to make Christine the new diva of the opera and gives her secret lessons every night.
But the book of this version is written by Arthur Kopit with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The musical is returning to the Korean stages in the last ten years and captivates the audience.
