La Cage Aux Folles in Pilsen, Czech Republic

The musical will premiere on 30 November

It takes place in the attractive environment of a travesty club in the French seaside resort of Saint-Tropez, run by Georges and his partner Albín, who is also the main star of the establishment under the pseudonym Zaza. However, the ordinary days of two men who have been living together, working and raising Georges' son Jean-Michel for twenty years, for better or worse, are disrupted by an unexpected complication. Young Jean-Michel invites home not only his new love Anna, but also her mother and father – a bigoted conservative politician and an implacable opponent of gays. The whole visit soon begins to develop completely differently than everyone originally imagined, which of course brings with it a lot of various funny situations. The exuberant comedy, which has won many awards, will be presented with a star-studded cast led by Lumír Olšovský and Martin Písařík in the lead roles.
