Lin-Manuel Miranda is working on a new concept album

The new musical is based on Sol Yurick`s 1965 novel Warriors and a movie of the same title in 1979.

The novel is about a violent gang fight in New York in the 1960s when a street gang was wrongly accused of killing the head of a rival gang in the Bronx. The gang is forced to fight back to their home turf on Coney Island.

According to Bloomberg, the new musical is co-written by playwright Eisa Davis.

Gossips says the album has been largely completed and features pop stars and Broadway actors.

The release date of the album is yet to be announced.
