Matilda movie finally released on UK and Ireland Netflix

After a long wait the movie adaptation of Matilda The Musical was released on 25 June

The movie is based on the stage musical, which has been successfully running on the West End since 9 December 2010.

The film version was directed by Matthew Warchus and was released exclusively in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 25 November 2022. Following the movie's release Sony Pictures and Tristar Pictures made it available across the biggest streaming sites, such as YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc, to rent and buy the movie.

The film stars Emma Thompson, Lashana Lynch, Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough, Sindhu Vee and Alisha Weir. It has been nominated for two BAFTAs including Outstanding British Film and for make-up and hair.
