Moulin Rouge! The Musical to make Bangkok premiere in 2027

The award-winning Broadway phenomenon Moulin Rouge! The Musical is heading to Bangkok for the first time in May 2027, bringing dazzling performances, iconic pop hits, and Parisian glamour to the Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre.

The glittering world of is finally set to arrive in Thailand, as Moulin Rouge! The Musical prepares for its long-awaited Bangkok premiere in 2027. Presented by Live Nation Tero, the award-winning production will take the stage at Muangthai Rachadalai Theatre, bringing one of the world’s most celebrated modern musicals to local audiences for the very first time. 

Based on Baz Luhrmann’s iconic 2001 film, the musical tells the passionate and tragic love story between Christian, a young American writer, and Satine, the dazzling star performer of the Moulin Rouge nightclub in Paris. The stage adaptation has become a global sensation thanks to its extravagant costumes, spectacular choreography, and mash-up soundtrack featuring more than 70 famous songs from artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Adele.

Since its Broadway debut in 2019, the production has won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has captivated audiences across the West End and international touring circuits. While exact Bangkok performance dates and ticket details have yet to be announced, excitement is already building among Thai theatre fans eager to experience the glamour, romance, and energy of this world-famous production.
