New Chitty Chitty Bang Bang film is in development

The new film was announced on Thursday

According the news, Matthew Warchus (Matilda the Musical, Pride) will direct the reimagined film adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The magical children’s story is based on Ian Fleming’s story about a flying car and the absent-minded inventor Caractacus Potts and his children Jemima and Jeremy.

The story will be adapted for the screen by Enda Walsh and in early stage of development.

The show is currently on tour around the UK.
