Operation Mincemeat is on the way to Broadway

The fan-favourite musical will premiere on Broadway next Spring.

Following five sold-out development runs at the New Diorama Theatre in 2019 and Southwark Playhouse in 2020, 2021 & 2022, and a multiple extension at Fortune Theatre, now Operation Mincemeat is heading to Broadway.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won Britain World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?

Operation Mincemeat is written and composed by David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoë Roberts, who form SpitLip. The show is presented in the West End by Avalon (in association with SpitLip), who have supported since the Southwark Playhouse runs. The Official London Cast Recording was produced by Grammy Award-winning and Tony, Emmy, and Olivier award-nominated Steve Sidwell

The Broadway production will premiere at the Golden Theatre on 20 March 2025, after previews starting on 15 February. It will be directed by Robert Hastie, choreography by Jenny Arnold, set and costume design by Ben Stones, lighting design by Mark Henderson, sound design by Mike Walker, orchestrations and vocal arrangements by Steve Sidwell and musical direction by Joe Bunker.

Further details are yet to be announced.
