Operation Mincemeat unveils fresh West End recruits

The award-winning musical Operation Mincemeat has announced a major new cast update for its continuing West End run at London’s Fortune Theatre. With returning favourites and exciting additions joining the company, the Olivier-winning wartime comedy continues to build momentum following its Broadway success and expanding international profile.
The West End production of Operation Mincemeat has revealed its latest casting announcement, introducing new performers to the critically acclaimed musical comedy that has become one of London theatre’s biggest success stories.
The musical, written by the comedy troupe SpitLip, dramatizes the real Second World War deception mission that helped mislead Nazi forces during the Allied invasion of Sicily. Since transferring to the West End, the production has gained a devoted audience thanks to its fast-paced humour, inventive staging, and multi-role performances.
The new cast is set to start from 11 May 2026. The new cast members are Charlotte Fleming as Jean Leslie and Others, Colm Gleeson as Hester Leggatt and Others, Ahmed Hamad as Charles Cholmondeley and Others, Chlöe Hart as Johnny Bevan and Others, Madeleine Jackson-Smith as Ewen Montague and Others.
The newly announced cast joins the production during a landmark period for the show, which has also enjoyed strong Broadway reception and growing international demand. Producers hope the latest company refresh will maintain the sharp energy and comic precision that have helped make Operation Mincemeat one of the most talked-about British musicals of recent years.
