Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella premiers in Madrid, Spain

The show will run from 3rd October to 30 November at Teatro Coliseum Madrid
In the Stage Entertainment Spain’s production Cinderella is much more than a resigned and dreamy young woman. Brave determined and master of her own decisions, Cinderella is a contemporary heroine who, beyond finding love, inspires us with her example to fight to build a better world and to take charge of our destiny.
Paule Mallagaray as Ella (Cinderella) and Briel González as Topher (Prince) will lead the cast, joined by Mayca Teba as Marie (Fairy Godmother), Mariola Pena as Madame (Stepmother), Eloi Gómez as Jean-Michel, María Gago as Gabrielle, Expensive Gestoso as Charlotte, José Navar as Sebastian, Jaume Giró as Lord Pinkleton and Anna Alborch as Marie and Madam cover.
Director and choreographer of the show is Anthony Van Laast, dramaturg Douglas Carter Beane, resident director and adapter Alejandro De Los Santos, music supervisor Xavier Torras, stage designer Carla Janssen Höfelt, associate choreographer Nichola Treherne, costume designer Yaiza Pinillos, lighting designer Howard Harrison, sound designer Poti Martín, designer of illusions and magic Steven Cuiffo, video and project designer Jeff Sugg and locker room supervisor María Regidor.
The extraordinary score of the musical, composed in the 50s by Rodgers & Hammerstein, gives us such iconic songs as "In My Own Little Corner", "Impossible" or "Ten Minutes Ago", and claims to be one more protagonist of the show. As in all Stage Entertainment musicals, the live music, performed by a magnificent orchestra, will be supported by a scenography that perfectly combines elements of traditional theatre with state-of-the-art technological resources to make Cinderella a unique, magical and unforgettable proposal.
