Schmigadoon! will have a live adaptation

The musical will premiere at the Kennedy Center in 2025

Schmigadoon!, a new stage musical based on the Apple TV+ series, will have its world premiere in January 2025 in Washington and play from 31 January to 9 February at the Kennedy Center.

Schmigadoon! is about a couple who, accidentally and then intentionally, land in a world where everyone lives up to musical theatre standards. The stage musical has a book and score by Cinco Paul, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli, co-creator of the series.

Songs will include hits from the television show, as well as new material.

The television series featured Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Dove Cameron, and Aaron Tveit, among others in two celebrated seasons. For now, it is a question of which stars might reprise their roles and appear in this enchanted musical town on the stage adaptation.
