Something Rotten! In Frankfurt

The musical will play from 17 November 2023 to 31 March 2024 at the English Theatre in Frankfurt, Germany

Something Rotten! is a musical comedy with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey  Kirkpatrick.

The story is set in 1595, in the Renaissance, where the Black Plague has ceded power to the Puritans, ruffs are the latest fashion trend, and the biggest celebrity in England is a playwright named William Shakespeare. In the midst of all this excitement, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are trying to keep their acting company afloat. In a desperate attempt to out-Bard the Bard, Nick consults with an oracle, who informs him that the future of theatre involves acting, singing, and dancing – sometimes all at once! As the Bottom brothers strive to write the world’s very first musical, they find themselves caught in a bitter battle with the Bard.

Cast includes Bradley Adams, Bethany Amber-Wilde, Racheal Archer, William Beckerleg, Matt Beveridge, Estelle Denison-French, Liam Huband, Sami Kedar, Briana Kelly, Greg Miller Burns, Jonathan Norman, Chris Tarsey, Myles Waby and Tom Watson.
