StarKid’s The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals is coming to London

The show will run at the Apollo Theatre from 14th May to 30th May
Next May, StarKid Productions brings its cult-favourite horror-comedy musical The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals to London in a limited West End run. From 14–30 May 2026, the show will play at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.
Originally released online in 2018, the story follows Paul Matthews — an ordinary guy who hates musicals — whose quiet life spirals out of control when an alien crash landing turns his hometown of Hatchetfield into a singing, dancing nightmare.
This remounted version is helmed by director Lauren Lopez, with a book by Nick and Matt Lang, music and lyrics by Jeff Blim, and choreography by James Tolbert. The cast brings back familiar StarKid faces: Jon Matteson, Joey Richter, Jeff Blim, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Mariah Rose Faith Casillas, Corey Dorris, and Lopez herself.
While the show only runs for about two weeks, fans can expect big laughs, catchy tunes, and the trademark StarKid chaos.
