Sylvia – The Musical tour has been announced

The tour will launch at Curve Leicester on 24th September

Activist. Rebel. Icon.

Sylvia Pankhurst – fearless, flawed, and unforgettable. Her extraordinary story takes centre stage in this Olivier Award-winning hip hop, funk and soul musical that moves your feet and fires your spirit.

Whilst her mother and sister fought for women’s suffrage, Sylvia fought for the forgotten – working women, the impoverished, the silenced. Caught between family and conviction, she risked everything to bring change to millions.

Created by Kate Prince and featuring an electrifying score by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, Sylvia blends hip hop, funk and soul into a thrilling theatrical experience that pulses with energy and emotion.

Returning to the role that earned her an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress, Beverley Knight stars as Emmeline Pankhurst, leading a phenomenal cast that includes Sharon Rose as Sylvia.

“I could not be more chuffed to reprise my role as Emmeline Pankhurst one more time! The spirit, courage and determination of the suffragettes and in particular Sylvia Pankhurst is so brilliantly celebrated in this show.” – Beverley Knight

Direct from its acclaimed run at The Old Vic, SYLVIA is more than a musical – it’s a manifesto set to music, a revolution you can dance to, and a story that continues to inspire generations.

“This production is a stunning retelling of the Suffragette movement, focusing on the fiery personal and political dynamics within my family.” – Helen Pankhurst
