The Camden Fringe list of musicals have been announced

The Camden Fringe will run from 3rd August to 30th August
The Barber of Seville
In this quirky company’s latest summer production, the city of Seville has become a vibrant, swinging 1960s music hub, full of bold colours, shifting social norms, and youthful independence. Rosina, longs to be a modern young woman enjoying the summer with her boyfriend, Almaviva, but is carefully guarded by her old fashioned and overbearing guardian, Bartolo who desperately clings to control in a rapidly changing world. Almaviva, our local Mod-styled popstar, has won the heart of Rosina through his music and charisma, but will the pair be able to outsmart Bartolo long enough to be together?
Figaro, the local man about town, thrives in this setting: a fast-talking, well-connected fixer—part barber, part stylist, part social hub—he knows everyone and everything and is delighted to help the young lovebirds, but will it be too close a shave?
Whether you're a devoted opera lover or a newcomer to the genre, join us for a night of music, mischief, and the joy or reinvention. With big hair, sharp suits and sublime singing, Figaro’s barbershop is the place to strut your stuff— and you’re invited to come along and twist!
From 7th August to 9th August at the Upstairs at the Gatehouse
Murder on the Allotment
The tranquil world of English allotments meets the turbulent reality of the UK asylum system in Murder on the Allotment.
When 17-year-old Karwan is handed a plot as part of a new "Allotments for Refugees" scheme, life for the local gardeners becomes anything but peaceful. Karwan is smart, restless, and was sold on a dream that doesn’t quite match the reality of hanging out with retirees on a muddy plot in the provinces. He isn't interested in a quiet life—he wants a future, friends, a job, and a way to the bright lights of London.
Meanwhile, as Virginia, a "no-nonsense" retiree longing for the England of her youth, and Hugh, the community’s self-appointed "liberal" leader, face the newcomer, their own carefully cultivated perspectives begin to unravel.
Featuring ten original songs and one very poisoned cat, this funny and provocative new musical moves beyond the news cycle to ask the challenging, human questions: How big are our hearts? How wide is the gate?
On 10th and 11th August at The Cockpit
A Very Divine Election
This advert is a moral disgrace and so are you if you’re reading it. Vote WEE.
Adam Arkell was convinced being promoted to Head of Political Campaigns at notorious advertising agency "The Knife" was a surefire way of securing control in his life, but all he's gained so far are questions. Why is the CEO so disillusioned with her own company? Why do my co-workers act more like gremlins than human beings? And most importantly of all: why are we running the election campaign of a radical anti-advertising party whose only policy is to shut us down??
This horror-comedy is a sinister descent into the cult of symbolism and mindless consumerism.
On 10th and 11th August at Theatro Technis
