The Producers revival set to open at Menier Chocolate Factory

Mel Brooks` classic will play from 26 November to 1 March

The Producers is based on a movie classic from 1967 on the same title. The story is about Max Bialystock, the failing producer and his ambitious accountant Leo Bloom, who try to oversell interests in their brand-new Broadway show, Springtime of Hitler, which they miserably fail, as the musical, designed to close down after just one performance becomes a massive hit.

The Producers has lyrics by Brooks, and a book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan, Patrick Marber (Leopoldstadt) will direct the show.

Further creatives and cast are yet to be announced.
