The Tiger Lillies Bring Songs of the Dead to Soho Theatre

Cult cabaret trio The Tiger Lillies celebrate the Day of the Dead with Songs of the Dead, a special one-night concert at Soho Theatre Walthamstow on 1 November 2026.

The Grammy-nominated cult legends The Tiger Lillies are bringing their uniquely dark and anarchic style to Soho Theatre Walthamstow for Songs of the Dead, a special concert marking the Day of the Dead on 1 November 2026.

Death has been a recurring theme throughout the career of frontman Martyn Jacques, whose songs have explored everything from love, religion and politics to vice, madness and desire. For this one-off performance, The Tiger Lillies will delve into their extensive repertoire exploring mortality, the afterlife, grief, murder, memory and the dark comedy of our inevitable end.

The programme will include classic Tiger Lillies songs such as Heroin, Gin and Crack of Doom, alongside new compositions written especially for the occasion.

Known for their distinctive combination of dark cabaret, anarchic opera and black humour, The Tiger Lillies feature Martyn Jacques, Adrian Stout and Budi Butenop. Their performances combine music hall, punk rock and Brechtian cabaret, transforming macabre subject matter into something both haunting and unexpectedly uplifting.

Songs of the Dead will be performed at Soho Theatre Walthamstow on Sunday 1 November 2026 at 7.30pm. The performance runs for approximately 110 minutes and is recommended for audiences aged 16 and over.
