Tootsie has a successful run in Stockholm!

After a sold-out autumn and winter season Oscarsteatern Stockholm extended the musical for March and April.

Tootsie is based on the hit Oscar-winning movie starring Dustin Hoffman, about the egocentric and career-driven Michael (Robert Gustafsson) is fighting for be accepted as a musical star on Broadway. Michael has talent but lacks decency (and self-awareness), which gives him a well-deserved bad reputation. After scolding and complaining about everything and everyone, he is told by his agent that he blew all his chances of ever achieving his dream. No one will hire him!!!

Out of desperation, and the familiar feeling that everyone else is wrong, Michael's female alter ego Dorothy Michaels is born (also played by Robert Gustafsson). The breakthrough is a fact.

But with success comes challenges and being a woman proves to be anything but straightforward.
