Disney has officially confirmed Frozen 3

Disney announced the project at the D23 Expo

The original Frozen animated musical fantasy film was released in 2013 by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale and was directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. According to some critics, it was the best animated film since the Disney Studios Renaissance era an it’s worldwide box-office revenue reached $1.280 billion.

The studio released the sequel, Frozen II in 2019 and reached a new high of $ $1.450 billion gross, which was the third highest-grossing film in that year.

Disney released a statement on the D23 Expo, the ultimate Disney Fan Event, which states, they will release Frozen 3 in 2027. The story will be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The original voices, including Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf, are also expected to reprise their roles.
