Schmigadoon! Season 2: Schmicago is announced.
The hit-musical comedy television series is back the Apple TV+ from April.
In the first season of the musical comedy, Melissa (Cecily Strong) and Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) go on a backpacking trip to fix their deteriorating relationship and end up in a magical town, called Schmigadoon. This town is the realm of musicals from the ‘40s and ‘50s and the residents start to sing and dance at any moment. Melissa and Josh learn the only way to escape from the town is to fall in love again.
After the positive feedback Cinco Paul, co-creator of the show announced the second season called Schmicago. The two leads will be the same and Arana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski and Aaron Tveit will return to the screen. The new season will focus on musicals from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The first two episodes are set to be on 7th April on Apple TV. The rest of the episodes will be on the screen every Friday.
